The mission of the Centrofauna Project is to work for the welfare and respect for wild animals, which should live free in the wilderness. Its action is based on a Wildlife Reception, Screening and Rehabilitation Center for animals seized by the Environmental Military Police and voluntarily surrendered. This process results in the release of animals and, if not possible for technical reasons, animals are sent to sites permitted by the IBAMA (Brazilian Environmental Institute). It also seeks to raise the interest and awareness of people on the harmful effects of illegal trade on the lives, welfare, and environment of the animals.

The Coleta Legal (Nice Collection) project is an environmental education project implemented in 9 public schools in the City of Botucatu. The topic “waste” is discussed with students in the 3rd grade of elementary school through various activities throughout the year. Annually, about 1,000 children directly participate in the project and are encouraged to exercise citizenship in the community in which they live.

Annually, the Escola vai a Mata (School Goes to the Jungle) project develops an environmental education program with approximately 2,000 public and private school students in Botucatu and surroundings. This program takes place at Unit II of the Centroflora Group, and educational resources include visits to the native forest areas preserved by the company, as well as the local organic garden and medicinal garden.

The mission of the Adolescer project is to discover and appreciate the potential of 50 teenagers between the ages of 13 and 18 from low-income families. The goal is to contribute to the development of aware and active citizens. The activities take place in the morning (from Monday to Friday), with Environmental Education, Music, Plastic Arts, and Physical Education workshops, and in the afternoon (from Monday to Wednesday), with professional development work through Plastic Arts.
